Kate Garraway gives 'keep fighting' message during 'grim times' with husband's ...

KATE GARRAWAY - who hosts Good Morning Britain and Smooth FM - has taken to Instagram to share some insight into her husband Derek Draper's hospital ward with an uplifting message as she and her children face the "grim times".

Kate Garraway, 53, who presents Good Morning Britain on ITV, told her Instagram followers she had been to visit her husband Derek Draper in hospital today while he remains in intensive care. The Smooth Radio presenter shared an uplifting message which she says "spoke to her" during these "grim times".

Keep fighting for the good

Kate's husband Derek has been in intensive care for seven months now, after contracting coronavirus back in March.

The presenter has continued to keep her followers and friends updated on Derek's health condition on GMB and social media throughout lockdown.

Today, Kate revealed one discovery she came across while on Derek's hospital ward that has proven to keep her going.

In view of her 945,000 Instagram followers, the TV star posted a picture of a whiteboard filled with motivational and kind messages for those visiting patients.

The message read: "To all beautiful/handsome creatures this is for you...

"Don't give up on this year. Keep fighting for the good. Keep showing up. Keep loving. Keep giving back. Keep being kind. Keep being brave. Keep on caring. Keep trying new things. Keep showing grace. Keep on. The world needs you to believe in the good."

The message finished with: "2021 is coming... hold on. Smile," followed by a smiley face.

Kate went on to share: "Written on a whiteboard on Derek’s ward to spur on staff and patients - not sure if have walked passed it before or it's new, but definitely spoke to me today.
