The Haunting of Bly Manor is a new supernatural series which is due to land on Netflix on October 9. The series has taken inspiration from the 1898 horror story titled The Turn of the Screw, which was written by Henry James. Fans are interested to know how the series is linked to The Haunting of Hill House, and Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.
As the titles suggest, there is a type of connection between the two series - the latter having made its debut on Netflix in October 2018.
The new series was created by Mike Flanagan and while many of the main cast and crew returned for Bly Manor, there are some differences between the stories.
Production for Bly Manor started back in September 2019 and fans have been eager to find out what the series has in common with Hill House.
The nine-episode series stars Victoria Pedretti as Dani Clayton - a nanny hired by a wealthy man to look after his niece and nephew.
Bly Manor is considered to be the follow-up story to The Haunting of Hill House, and it is the second instalment in the anthology series.

An official synopsis for Bly Manor says the story follows a young governess, who is hired to look after a man's family at their country home.
But when she arrives at the estate, she realises there is something unsettling about what lies beyond.
Henry Thomas has been cast as Henry Wingrave, the owner of the Bly estate who has hired Dani to look after his family following the death of their previous title-holder.
Flanagan told Entertainment Weekly how the family in Bly Manor has no connection to the Crain family in Hill House.
Ahead of the season two renewal, he said: "I don’t want to speculate too much about season two until Netflix and Paramount and Amblin let us know if they want one.
