Supermarkets in the UK have had to adjust their shopping rules throughout the coronavirus pandemic. Sainsbury's has issued a statement updating customers on new rules.

With government guidance continuing to change, this has affected what shoppers can do at the supermarket.

This week, Prime Minister Boris Johnson set out a three tier system to be used across England.

Each tier comes with different restrictions and each area of the country is part of a different tier.

Sainsbury's has introduced new shopping rules that comply with the restrictions of all tiers.
