Donald Trump’s daughter appeared at the rally in Tampa, Florida over the weekend alongside Richard Grenell, former US ambassador to Germany and the first openly gay person to serve in the US cabinet. But Tiffany’s appearance at the event drew major criticism from onlookers who noted she stumbled over her words as she dressed the crowd. The youngest Trump daughter also recently drew criticism for partying in Florida despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
During her appearance at Saturday’s rally, Ms Trump defended her father’s record on LGBTQ+ laws during his presidency.
She said: “My dad doesn’t look at someone … based on who you love. There should be love for all. I know what my father believes in.”
She also said her father “supported gays, lesbians, the LGBQIA+ community’, while skipping the T in the acronym standing for the transgender community.
Ms Trump then said: “My father has always supported all of you.
“He’s never done it for politics, and unfortunately there’s a lot of people out there — politicians — who do.”
