NASA has released a playlist containing some of the spookiest sounds from space in preparation for Halloween.

The US space agency is gearing up for spooky season, and has released some of the most daunting sounds from the Universe. The playlist, which is available on SoundCloud, allows you to listed to some of the more eerie sounds of the cosmos which you may have never heard.

With Halloween just around the corner, NASA saw it fit to mix learning and spookiness.

Included in the playlist are the sounds of earthquakes on Mars.

This comes from 2019 when NASA's Mars InSight lander measured and recorded a Marsquake.

NASA said: "The lander’s Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS) instrument, detected the faint seismic signal in 2019."

Also on the playlist are the sounds from the beginning of the Universe.

The space agency explained: "13.8 billion years ago, when our universe was void of stars and planets, it was just a ball of hot plasma – a mixture of electrons, protons, and light.
