Jenny Connor (played by Sally Ann Matthews) welcomed Scott Emberton (Tom Roberts) with open arms in Coronation Street after Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) revealed they were old friends. Scott and Johnny’s true connection has now been unveiled after the Rovers Return landlord realised he had to come clean to his wife. However, will Jenny be able to forgive her husband or will she abandon her home after being held hostage by Scott?
In recent scenes, Scott demanded Johnny change his mind about coming clean to the police while holding Jenny hostage at gunpoint.
Johnny arrived home with the police in tow and Scott was subsequently arrested for the Bistro robbery.
It seems the pub landlords can begin to put the past behind them but will Jenny struggle to live in a place she was made to feel unsafe?
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, Richard was asked why it was so important for Johnny to keep his criminal past secret.

Richard explained: “Because he's reinvented himself I think that this is something that went on when he was young.
“It’s still an active crime although it’s a historical crime so it would threaten his present circumstances.
“It would threaten his status and standing on the street, in a sense.
“The question for him in terms of talking with Jenny is who is Johnny?
