NCIS season 18 will begin on CBS next week as the stars of the much-loved crime procedural return. Among those back is David McCallum who is one of the original cast members of the show. Here’s what the actor himself has revealed about his personal life outside the series.

When NCIS returns to CBS with its 18th season, very few original cast members will be reprising their roles on the show.

However, McCallum is one of them ever since he joined the series way back in the pilot.

The British actor first came to recognition playing Illya Kuryakin in the television series The Man from U.N.C.L.E. back in the 1960s.

He went on to star in several popular projects like Colditz, Kidnapped and Mother Love.

Although in recent years, many will recognise him best at the NCIS medical examiner Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard.

In the upcoming season 18, he is also going to play a big part in the show’s 400th episode as it explores how he and Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) first met.

Given his starring role on the show, many fans have also been left curious to find out more about the actor behind the character.
