Morrisons is just one of the supermarkets helping its customers through the pandemic. Back in April, the supermarket giant introduced a discount for NHS staff and emergency workers who were working tirelessly through the crisis. They also introduced food boxes to help those self-isolating and now, there is a new discount for certain customers.
Morrisons is offering all teachers and staff at schools, nurseries and colleges 10 percent off their grocery shop.
Lasting until Christmas, the special discount is a thank you to half a million teachers and additional school staff who are looking after children and supporting them through the pandemic.
Anyone from primary, secondary, private and special education are all included as well as all teaching assistants, catering staff, dinner ladies, caretakers, cleaners and school office staff.
These groups will also be able to participate in a dedicated shopping hour alongside NHS staff from 6am-7am, every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

This gives the change for customers to shop before stores open, meaning the store will be quieter.
David Potts, Morrisons Chief Executive said: “Teachers and school staff are facing many challenges and the education of our children has never been more important. This discount is our way of saying thank you as they continue to care for and educate our kids.”
