Kate Middleton has been married to Prince William since April 2011. The Duke of Cambridge is second in line to the British throne behind Queen Elizabeth II, 94, and Prince Charles, 71.
This means it is likely Prince William will be King one day.
If this were to happen, Kate would probably take on the role of Queen Consort.
With this title she would have the same status as the King, but not the same political powers.
Kate has become confident in her royal role since joining the Royal Family.

From being rarely seen while dating Prince William, Kate has flourished as a working royal.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, stylist and lecturer at the fashion Retail Academy in London Anthony McGrath suggested she has been subtly preparing for her future role.
