As fans wait for news of Outlander season six’s release date, Sam Heughan and his co-star Graham McTavish have been promoting their new book Clanlands which accompanies their upcoming series Men in Kilts. The pair both appeared on This Morning in the UK yesterday and host Holly Willoughby wouldn’t end the interview until they’d shared an update on Outlander.

Outlander season five came to an end in May and usually, fans would be getting teasers for the next series.

However, the Droughtlander has lasted much longer than expected and viewers are keen to find out when the cast will be back to work.

Holly asked: “We cannot have you here and not talk about Outlander obviously, which you know I am a massive fan of.

“I guess fans would just like to know when they are going to get the next series because as with many things, Covid has put filming on the back burner but it is coming back?”
