Darragh Ennis breaks #TheChase records raking in 4.9 million viewers in debut ...

For weeks it had been speculated a new Chaser would be joining the much-loved ITV show and when Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis appeared for his first episode last week, he broke viewing records. Fellow The Chase star Jenny Ryan explained the quiz show is going from strength to strength and Darragh’s addition proves they will continue to air for a long time.

Appearing on This Morning, Darragh and Jenny teased the future of The Chase and told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby they can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Phillip asked: “Jenny how does the rest of the team feel about welcoming somebody in?”

“I think for us it’s a sign that the network are so happy with the show and they want it to go from strength to strength,” Jenny replied.

“This is like strengthening our squad. We’re getting another body in there to get into the rotation.
