The controversial show, which is charting the life of Queen Elizabeth II, focused heavily on the relationship between Diana and Charles in its most recent season.

Charles Spencer, brother to the late Princess Diana, suggested each episode should begin with a health warning stating “this isn’t true, but it is based around some real events”.
There has been criticism of the show for depicting Charles continuing his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles throughout his marriage to Diana, when in fact it was only rekindled towards the end.
Season Four also shows Lord Mountbatten writing Prince Charles an extremely personal letter just before his assassination by the IRA, when this never actually happened.
