Ralf Little, 40, has not seen his mum “for a long time” amid the coronavirus pandemic. The Death In Paradise actor suggested to her that he should head home early from filming in the Caribbean and catch up.
Only to discover that she was not keen on his plan, as she is part of the more vulnerable group that could experience deadly effects of the virus.
Speaking on last night's The One Show, Ralf explained: “I’ve not seen my mother for a long time, it would be nice to see her and get in touch.

“But I suggested that to her, I said, ‘Should I try and get back?’ My mum being my mum, she was like, ‘No I'm at risk, I don’t want to see you - stay out there,” he added.

However, Ralf was not upset, as he said it is “fair enough” that his mum should remain vigilant during this difficult time, with cases rising in the UK.
In the last seven days alone 496 people have lost their lives to coronavirus in London hospitals, according to government statistics.
