Supermarket deals are often updated to give shoppers discounts on products across stores.

However, Morrisons could be set to change how it runs offers in stores.

The retailer has explained it could see more than 170 product categories being reviewed this year.

The update could include scrapping many temporary offers and money-off deals.

Instead, price cuts may be introduced across a large range of products.

Doing this will ultimately make groceries cheaper for all shoppers, Morrisons group commercial director Andy Atkinson told The Grocer.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for us to review our entire range.

“We want to work with suppliers, and I think they welcome this as a chance to improve the value for money and quality of our range.
