The UK finally left the EU on January 1 this year after years of negotiations and talks with the bloc. But europhiles in Britain are already demanding the decision be reversed, due to teething problems caused by new policies.
Rejoin the EU campaigner A C Grayling tweeted: “It’s obvious: at very least, & immediately, we need to rejoin the Single Market and the Customs Union.
“Brexit is proving to be the disaster predicted - and worse.”
Professor Brian Cox, who is also an ardent supporter of the EU, tweeted: “This position is unsustainable.
“How can your export industries compete when you are the ONLY country between Iceland and Turkey with pure third country status?

“It reminds me of thermodynamics; the only statistically probable path is back towards equilibrium.”
Other rejoiners have also hit out amid reports of extra charges for deliveries in post-Brexit Britain.
Labour member Max Finch said: “The fight to remain is over; the fight to #RejoinEU has begun!”
The Leeds for Europe Twitter account also urged the UK to rejoin the EU and the single market.
