The Wire star Chris Clanton, 35, has been discharged from hospital after being shot in the ear, according to reports. The star was rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries when he was shot during an incident, which has sparked a police investigation.

The star, who is most famously known for playing Savino Bratton in season 1 and 5 of HBO's crime drama, The Wire, has since been released from hospital following the incident.
Reports have indicated that it is unclear whether the actor was specifically targeted during the shooting, as police ask for witnesses of the incident to come forward to help with investigations.
Baltimore Police Department confirmed to TMZ that an investigation has been launched following the shooting.

A spokesperson for the Department said they were “investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday around 7 PM."
