Prince William and his brother Prince Harry have endured a strained relationship as the Sussexes remain isolated from the Royal Family. The feud has boiled since January 2020, when Harry and Meghan Markle left royal duties behind for a more independent life. Reports of tension between the Sussexes and the Cambridges emerged, and were eventually laid bare by Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Meghan alleged that she didn't receive support from the Firm for her mental health struggles, and even claimed concerns were raised in the Royal Family about the skin colour of her son Archie before he was born.
It appears the fallout had already begun before their royal exit however, as reports from 2019 show William and Kate's fears of being "overshadowed".
Journalist and royal expert Camilla Tominey said at the time that there could be trouble ahead over the Sussexes growing public profile, adding that "tension" had brewed.
She said: "What you have is a couple not wanting to be overshadowed, and a couple not wanting to be sidelined."Insurance Loans Mortgage Attorney Credit Lawyer

This came after both the Cambridges and the Sussexes shared intimate photographs of their family life – Harry and Meghan were celebrating their anniversary while William and Kate visited the Chelsea Flower Show.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge posted pictures of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Ms Tominey added: "It seems like, why would you release photographs that [the newspapers] all want to run, it seems like there's a bit of a clash.
"I think this is going to be the problem moving forward."
