Princess Anne is reported to have turned down offers from the Queen to give her two children royal titles at birth. Zara Tindall was the first royal granddaughter not to be granted the HRH style in centuries and shares the peculiarity with only her youngest female cousin, Lady Louise Windsor. According to commentator Jennie Bond, the decision part of Princess Anne's plan to ensure Zara did not face huge amounts of public pressure growing up.
Speaking to Channel 5 documentary Zara&Mike: No Nonsense Royals, Ms Bond said: "She was also the first granddaughter of a monarch to be born without a royal title.
"I think not having a title has really set Zara free, which is what her mother wanted. It means she doesn't carry out any official royal duties.
"She's hardly royal at all, it's just a coincidence of birth. Princess Anne wanted her children to have as normal an upbringing as she could give them."
Narrator Phoebe Price noted the decision resulted in Zara Phillips bypassing schooling traditions reserved for other grandchildren of the Queen.Insurance Loans Mortgage Attorney Credit Lawyer
