According to Royal biographer Ingrid Seward, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge “voiced concerns” after Prince Harry failed to ask Thomas Markle permission to marry Meghan Markle. Prince Harry and Meghan became engaged after nearly two years of dating each other, and months after the former actress moved to the UK to be with the royal. But Harry failed to contact Thomas Markle about his intentions to pop the question, according to Ms Seward.
Instead, he proposed over a roast chicken meal at Kensington Palace.
And he did actually meet Thomas Markle at all before their marriage, despite tradition to ask a father-in-law permission for someones hand in marriage.
According to Ms Seward, this caused some "concern” for Kate, Meghan’s future sister in law.
