Two women at the scene were taken to hospital after they were hit by a car as police responded to the "large disturbance" linked to a party on a public green.

Witness Goran Zdrale said he saw a "mini riot" and "a group of 60-80 young people pushed from an estate down Dorset road".

Dozens of riot police were at the scene and the force helicopter circled overhead for several hours.
