The 83-year-old spoke out about receiving the tragic news after doctors finally decided to do an X-ray, with him insisting that he has since been given the all-clear.
Larry - who has been in the broadcasting industry for over 60 years - explained: “The doctor said to me, ‘Something looks funny’. They said the spot looked pretty small.
“I then did a CAT scan then a PET scan and then he said to me, ‘You have lung cancer, but it looks very small, in the beginning stages’.”
