The actress, who has starred in Emmerdale for 18 years, confessed that Charity’s behaviour could lead to her departure.
Over the years, fans of the long-running ITV soap have watched as the barmaid has tried to con several men out of their fortune and sold her own son.
But in recent episodes, she has shown a much softer side as she embarks on a relationship with Vanessa Woodfield (played by Michelle Hardwick).
However Emma isn’t convinced their happiness will last and worries that Charity will end up in trouble again.Related articles
“I’m blessed with really good dialogue,” she said.
“Her humour runs throughout and it’s so important when you’re playing such a b***h.
“I’m so lucky with the writing because there could come a point where you think we’ve just had enough now, how much of a b***h can you be before there’s a shelf life?”
Emma went on to add to The Sun: “I’m sure there will be a shelf life to my character at some point, but right now I’m blessed
