BBC Breafast meteorologist Carol Kirkwood issued a snow warning as the UK is set to be hit with severe wintery showers today.
She said: “We are starting off with a red warning. This is issued by the Met Office it came out yesterday and it is valid until 10 o’clock this morning.
“The areas it covers are central Scotland, Tayside and Fife. It is the highest level of warning that the Met Office does issue.
“So expect further snow, strong winds, blizzard conditions, blowing snow and drifting snow.”Related articles
