Tory MP Chris Philp exploded at "doom-mongers and naysayers" undermining the Government's efforts during Brexit talks with the European Union.
Mr Philp shut down the speculation Britain would not be able to strike a free trade deal with Brussels, pointing out latest breakthrough in Brexit negotiation signalled the opposite.
He said: "The doom-mongers and naysayers have been wrong so far.
"We have got the withdrawal agreement and we have got the transition agreement agreed just a couple of weeks ago.

"Let’s not forget it’s in the European Union’s interests as much as ours to get this deal done."
