Some islanders have even established a “Do Bits Society” for those who have become physical with their partners on ITV2 reality show Love Island.
Although some viewers have remarked there has been less action this year than the previous three series.
Hayley Hughes, who was one of the original girls on the current season, has now spoken out on why the contestants’ “sex lives can wait”.
Hayley divulged to the Daily Star: ”I just think people maybe aren't having as much action.
"At the end of the day, you're on that show for eight weeks, and if you haven't got a real strong connection with someone, why rush into it?
"And if you have got a strong connection with someone, why not wait eight weeks?
"Because you're already showing so much of yourself, so your sex life can wait for the outside world.
“Do it in private together.
"I'm sure if you know you're gonna last and be strong, then you can wait that eight weeks if it's not an issue to you and you're genuinely into someone."
Hayley was dumped from the island along with partner Charlie Frederick on day 13 of the competition.
