The 2025 Golden Globes offered plenty of comedy and drama on the CBS broadcast of the ceremony.

But fans at home only saw a small portion of the stars' interactions behind the scenes at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

One dramatic scene involved Nicole Kidman — who was nominated for best actress in a drama for Babygirl — comforting a sobbing Elle Fanning.

The inside of the ceremony was also filled with surprising celebrity pairings, including a beaming Demi Moore with Andrew Garfield, along with celebrations, like the cast of Wicked launching a toast from their table.

The behind-the-scenes glimpses also caught stars heading off to after parties to celebrate their wins — or drown their sorrows.

Some of the famous faces didn't even need to leave the comfort of the Beverly Hilton, as the Globes' official after party was held at the hotel's rooftop restaurant and lounge Circa 55. 

Nicole seemed to be a steadying force for a clearly emotional Elle, though it wasn't clear exactly what they discussed. 

The Big Little Lies star smiled and wrapped an arm around the Complete Unknown actress as they chatted with another woman.

Nicole even turned to give the younger star a big hug at one point. 

Nicole featured in another sweet scene as she posed for a photo with Wicked star Ariana Grande and her proud mother, Joan Grande. 

Back at her table, Nicole shared a sweet moment with her husband Keith Urban, who wrapped his arms around her and leaned in.

She also had a buzzy interaction with Jodie Foster which got fans on social media wondering what they could be talking about in such an intense manner.

Ariana had plenty of cute interactions with her Wicked costar Cynthia Erivo back at the table dedicated to their film's stars and creative team.

The two couldn't contain their laughter as they had a hilarious run-in with stand-up comedian and The Bear star Ayo Edebiri.

Ariana also got a visit from an Oscar-winning screen legend, Kate Winslet, who was seated at the table next to hers.

Things seemed pretty animated over at Elle Fanning's table as well, where she caught up with her costars from the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown. 

She posed with Monica Barbaro, who plays Joan Baez in the film, as well as her costar Timothée Chalamet's girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

The three women delighted in posing for photos, and Elle also reunited with her older sister Dakota Fanning, who was nominated for best supporting TV actress for Ripley.

Kylie and Timothée couldn't keep their hands to themselves, and their affections were palpable.

The social media icon and the Dune star were snapped sharing a sweet kiss at one point. 

Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco were another loved-up couple at the Golden Globes. 

They shared plenty of adorable kisses between awards presentations.

Mikey Madison and other nominees from her acclaimed film Anora were completely shut out at the Globes, but she still had all eyes on her in a shimmering gold off-the-shoulder dress. 

Pamela Anderson turned the Golden Globes into a family affair when she attended with her son Brandon Thomas Lee.

They were spotted catching up with filmmaker Gia Coppola, who directed her in the critically acclaimed The Last Showgirl.

Sharon Stone only had to go up a few flights to celebrate the official Golden Globes after party at the Beverly Hilton, where she looked effortlessly elegant in a gown covered in seafoam sequins.

Comedian Nikki Glaser, who hosted this year's ceremony, was spotted with her partner, producer Chris Convy. 

She popped a leg and grabbed on to him as she celebrated steering clear of the landmines that sunk last year's host, Jo Koy.

Maren Morris sizzled in a scarlet dress as she lounged on a sofa at the after party with songwriter Ali Tamposi and singer Delacey.

The official party wasn't the only shindig in town, and plenty of stars headed over the the upscale restaurant and bar Funke in Beverly Hills for the Walt Disney Company after party, including Kevin Bacon, his daughter Sosie Bacon and her Nightbitch star boyfriend Scoot McNairy, who were seen chatting together.

It was a logical spot for the stars of Abbott Elementary (as their show is broadcast on Disney-owned ABC). 

Star and creator Quinta Brunson showed off her perfect pout for a selfie with costars Lisa Ann Walter and Chris Perfetti, as well as Amy Adams.

Quinta and Chris were also seen sharing a drink at the event with Avengers star Anthony Mackie, who looked elegant in a velvet tux.

Zoe Saldaña led Emilia Perez to top honors at Sunday's ceremony, while Demi Moore became a first-time winner at 62 at the Golden Globes 2025, where Shōgun and The Brutalist were also big winners.

Zoe, 46, earned Best Supporting Actress — Musical or Comedy early in the night, before the Netflix film earned the top prize, Best Film — Musical or Comedy on a night which featured a star-studded red carpet that took place at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. 

Demi sent a powerful message during her emotional acceptance speech as she earned Best Actress in Musical or Comedy for The Substance. 

When it came to the film drama categories, it was The Brutalist which earned top prize Best Film — Drama, as well as a Best Actor — Drama gong for Adrien Brody.

In television, it was Shōgun that swept the drama categories, including Best TV Series and individual honors for Anna Sawai, Hiroyuki Sanada and Tadanobu Asano. 

However, the most shocking moment certainly came when Brazilian actress Fernanda Torres triumphed over A-listers Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and Pamela Anderson in the Best Actress — Drama category for I'm Still Here.

Emilia Perez earned the most awards of the night with four but truly had it's crowning moment at the end of the night  film earned Best Film - Musical or Comedy over Anora, Challengers, A Real Pain, The Substance, and Wicked.

Emilia Perez actress Karla Sofía Gascón — who is a trans woman — gave a powerful speech to conclude the event as she said: 'Thank you so much. I chose these colors tonight because I have a message. The light always wins over darkness. 

'I have a lot of things to say to you, because you can maybe put us in jail, you can beat us up, but you never can take away our soul, our existence, our identity,' she said. 'I want to say to you, raise your voice. And say, I am who I am. Not who you are. Thank you so much.'

In Emilia Perez, Zoe plays Rita Mora Castro, who is a lawyer, as the film is centered around four remarkable women pursuing their individual happiness in Mexico.

Cartel leader Emilia (played by Gascón) enlists Rita, an unappreciated lawyer, to help fake her death so that she can finally live authentically as her true self. 

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards kicked off in fine form as Zoe upset Ariana Grande to take home the first award of the night.

The 46-year-old actress was emotional as she earned Best Supporting Female Actor for her work in Emilia Perez.

She triumphed over an impressive field that included the aforementioned Ariana Grande for Wicked, in addition to Selena Gomez for Emilia Pérez, Felicity Jones for The Brutalist, Margaret Qualley for The Substance and Isabella Rossellini for Conclave. 

Meanwhile, Demi was left shocked as she won Best Actress in Musical or Comedy for The Substance.

The 62-year-old star gave a riveting speech about the journey it took her to get to this crowning achievement.

She won over an impressive field including: Amy Adams for Nightbitch, Cynthia Erivo for Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascón for Emilia Pérez, Mikey Madison for Anora and Zendaya for Challengers.

Demi began her acceptance speech by saying: 'Oh, wow! I really wasn't expecting that. I'm just in shock right now. I've been doing this a long time, like, over 45 years, and this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor. And I am just so humbled and so grateful. 

'30 years ago I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time I made that mean that this is not something I was allowed to have. That I could do movies that were successful and made a lot of money, but that I couldn't be acknowledged, and I bought in and I believed that. That corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete, maybe I had done what I was supposed to do.'
