Months after CBS announced its hit Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon will end after its seventh season, star Annie Potts is speaking out about the decision.
The show had been given a three-season renewal in March 2021, taking the show up through Season 7, though CBS revealed in November that it would end that season.
With the series finale slated for May 16, with production ending just last week, Annie Potts didn't hold back, calling it a 'stupid business decision' in a Variety interview.
Potts - who starred on hit shows like Designing Women, Love & War and Any Day Now - was asked if it gets any easier to say goodbye to a show.
'This one was especially hard because I was completely unprepared. I was shocked. I mean, the No. 1 show on network TV, No. 1 on Netflix,' she began.

'Forgive me, but I don’t know. If a show is starting to drag or lag or have a lack of stories or whatever, then you kind of see it coming. We were totally ambushed by this. I was, anyway,' Potts admitted.
