Jersey Shore Family Vacation: The Arizona vacation gets off to an awkward start ... trends now

Just a week after Sammi 'Sweetheart' Giancola survived an awkward reunion with longtime ex Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, tensions rose between Sammi and Angelina Pivarnick on this week's Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Earlier this season, Angelina got in a bit of hot water when it was revealed that she slid into the DMs of a married New York Jets football player... and his wife clapped back at her in a video, which angered Angelina.

As Thursday night's episode began - entitled Are You Friends With Her - the Nashville trip was winding down, as it was revealed that Jets wife filmed a TikTok with Sammi - using one of Sammi's oft-quoted lines from the original show - 'Are you friends with her?' - which she was screaming at Ronnie.

With the Nashville trip over and the Arizona trip on the horizon, Angelina was clearly angered by the video, and asked her boyfriend to come with... which comes after Angelina herself was complaining about him to Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

This set the stage for the start of an awkward trip to Arizona, which, as teased in the preview for next week's episode - may even get physically violent. 

The episode ends as the Nashville trip winds down, as Ronnie, Mike, Vinny Guadagnino and Pauly DelVecchio reminiscing with some "RSVP" time, closing out the trip with a balcony photo. 

Vinny starts telling a number of steak-related dad jokes as Ronnie says in confession, 'It feels great to be laughing with these guys again, you know? I definitely missed it.'

Ronnie also added that he wanted, 'to make a pledge and a promise to you guys that if I'm ever going through some stuff, I'm going to rely on you guys like I should have before and not, you know, try to figure it out on myself.'

Pauly insisted that he shouldn't 'even hesitate, ever,' to reach out if he's going through some problems. 

Back in Jersey, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi set up a girls day, inviting Sammi, Jenni 'JWoww' Farley and Deena Cortese over, with Nicole saying she invited Angelina but she said she was busy.

Nicole's plan was to put out a food spread and have some drinks while, 'we can hang out and paint our feelings,' which the rest thought was strange. 

While the girls were painting, Mike was busy making the reservations in Tucson for the group's Arizona vacation.

Nicole asked the girls if anyone had talked to Angelina since they got back from Nashville and she said they hadn't, as the show cuts to her place.

Angelina explains in confession that she and her boyfriend Vinny Tortorella (who the group have dubbed "2.0" as the second Vinny of the group, so to speak) are doing well.

'Even though we've had our ups and downs, right now, Vinny and I are, like, at a decent place. Like, we're, like, communicating. We're trying to communicate better. I'm actually happy he's, like, the one person that stuck around, you know?' Angelina said in confession.

Angelina asks if Vinny could come with her on the Arizona trip, telling him, 'I need you.'

Meanwhile, Sammi tells the girls that Angelina's behavior towards her, 'is just absurd to me. I don't know why.'

Vinny tells her, 'I think we can make it happen,' while Angelina says, 'So now, just so you know, if they bark at you, don't let them. If a guy barks at you, like Mike-- I don't trust him.'

Vinny insists, 'Together, we'll be able to take care of it. And we're a team like everyone else is a team there, right?'

Mike is still talking to the resort in Tucson, when he's told that they have an on-site 'guru,' which seems to be the selling point for Mike. 

As they all get packed and ready for the trip, Deena is worried because she typically plans all the trips and this time, the boys are planning everything.

There are whispers among the group that 2.0 is coming, as Angelina confirms it in confession, but isn't telling the group. 

'So I am keeping it to the chest 2.0 is coming. Not telling a soul because I don't really want to hear it from everybody,' she says in confession.

A day later, the whole group dynamic is upended as they discover a TikTok video Sammi filmed with the New York Jets wife, seemingly asking Angelina directly, 'Are you friends with her?' repeatedly.

The whole group reacts to the video, as Nicole admits, 'Angeliners is not gonna like that. Once you put it on social media, it's out there forever.'

The video even calls Angelina "Angela" like the Jets' wife called her in the original video, which clearly enraged Angelina. 

Meanwhile, Jenni explains what happened years ago, as they show the footage of Sammi asking Ronnie repeatedly, 'Are you friends with her?' 

Deena's husband Chris asked, 'Do you think this was, like, a little jab at Angelina?' Deena said, 'Even if it wasn't and it was the most innocent thing in the world, I would never. I would be too afraid.'

Pauly insists, 'That is a chess move. Don't f**k with Sam is what I'm saying,' as Angelina keeps stewing over the video.
