The future of Channel Ten's wacky reality show The Masked Singer Australia is reportedly hanging in the balance.
The show, which has aired for five season, has not been given an air date for 2024 despite being announced at the Channel Ten Upfronts back in October.
And according to TV Tonight, producers Warner Bros TV have quietly been 'gauging interest from rival networks', meaning the franchise could depart Ten altogether.
The singing guessing game, which hosted by Osher Günsberg, is apparently very expensive to produce thanks to the elaborate costumes, high production quality and international talent required to put on the show.
This, coupled with the tough ad market, has reportedly brought the viability of the franchise into question for Ten.
