An American woman has been left red-faced after she mistook a man for country rocker Keith Urban during a boozy night out. 

TikTok user Sophia, 22, went viral on Sunday when she uploaded a video documenting the bizarre experience, sharing photos and videos of herself downing tequila shots with the celebrity lookalike. 

The video began with a photo of Sophia beaming at the camera alongside the words: 'I'm just having one drink tonight.'

She then included a blurry photo of a man who resembled Nicole Kidman's husband smiling in front of a bar. 

'Keith Urban?' Sophia captioned the image.
