John Terry has escaped punishment after the Football Association completed their investigation into his farcical substitution against last season.

Disciplinary chiefs probed Terry's now infamous 26th minute substitution in his final appearance at Stamford Bridge in May - but the case has been closed without charge.

Terry and Chelsea concocted the plan to be replaced in the 26th minute to coincide with the defender's squad number.
