This is the moment a dazed burglar pops out of a cupboard in his dressing gown after officers turn up to arrest him, as he is jailed for another two years.

Gareth Farrington, 37, was originally jailed for six years and two months in March last year for burglary and handling stolen goods, which is when the footage was taken.

Up to seven officers can be seen arresting the half-asleep Farrington during the early morning raid.

When he pops out of a cupboard in a hallway after one police officer springs open the door, he says 'woah, woah, woah' before his hands are tied behind his back and he is read his rights.

Now, the 37-year-old has had his prison sentence extended by more than two years after he was linked to a further burglary in Trumpington, Cambridge, in 2022, where two watches were stolen as well as items of jewellery.
