Network Ten has finally pulled struggling renovation show Changing Rooms from its schedule.

As reported by Mumbrella on Wednesday, the lifestyle series is to be 'rested' until later in the year.

It is a huge blow for Natalie Bassingthwaighte, 43, who hosted the rebooted program.

Industry observers are not surprised by the move, however.

The home makeover program, which recently premiered on a Wednesday in the 7.30pm timeslot, averaged just 204,000 metro viewers.

And after the program was quickly moved to Friday and Saturday nights, its audience numbers fell even further, drawing metro audiences of 196,000 and 135,000 respectively.
