Celebrities tackling a mammoth climb up Kilimanjaro reach the SUMMIT

They were faced with climbing Kilimanjaro over the course of seven days in order to raise money for this year's Comic Relief.

And all nine celebrities who immersed themselves in the challenge embraced as they finally reached the summit of the great mountain together on Friday.

The group, which includes Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall as well as Love Island winner Danny Dyer, touched the signpost which marked the top of the mountain.

Dressed in thermal padded jackets and patterned bobble hats the group wrapped their arms around each other in relief at finally making their way to the summit.

However the trek was not without its trials and tribulations, as many of the celebrities were pictured appearing to struggle with the final day of the ascent.

Dan was also pictured hugging sports pundit Osi Umenyiora as they congratulated one another, while Anita Rani put on a jubilant display throwing her arms in the air in front of the Kilimanjaro signpost.

It appeared that the team were up early before making it to the summit, as politician Ed Balls was pictured strolling with the sun rising behind him.
