But former Today show host Karl Stefanovic, 44, has something to smile about, having been nominated for a Gold Logie this year.
According to The Sun-Herald, the veteran journalist is in the running to score the coveted accolade for his work at Nine despite being dumped by Today.

Meanwhile, entertainment reporter Peter Ford told 3AW's Ross and John last Monday that Karl even stands a good chance at winning both the Gold and Silver Logie this year.
'He’s a chance to win the Logie for Best Presenter and also the Gold Logie!' Ford told the radio duo.
'He does have a fan base don’t mistake that, and they might say you know what we’re going to make this happen. I have a funny feeling, this is one to watch, just for a sense of fun and 'up yours'', he added.
