Channel Nine recently shut down claims that Married at First Sight stars are paid actors.
However, one former MAFS star claims the controversy is all just a case of semantics and that while co-stars are not paid to act, they are indeed acting on the show.
In an Instagram video on Monday, former 'runaway groom' Matty Lockett, said co-stars are aware that bringing drama to the show means getting airtime.

'They're all acting, but they're not being paid to act,' he claimed.
'They're all acting because they think they're gonna be the next big thing.
'They all know for a fact that they only show the drama... [Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant] - they're the only ones who are in love and you never seem them because they're boring. The rest of them are just acting out drama.'
