Angela Bishop's husband Peter Baikie died from a rare form of cancer in 2017.
And the heartache is clearly still very raw for the 51-year-old entertainment reporter, who broke down in tears on Friday while reflecting on her loss.
During a segment on Studio 10, Angela confessed that she identified with Blanche D'Alpuget's grief following the death of her husband Bob Hawke earlier this month.
'It's a very pure moment of love': Angela Bishop (pictured), 51, broke down on Studio 10 while remembering her late husband Peter Baikie, who died of cancer in 2017. Even more poignantly, it would have been the couple's wedding anniversary this week
Referencing Blanche's recent tearful TV interview, Angela said: 'When she spoke of the privilege of being with him at that time as a carer, that's true. I can't quite put it into words yet, but...'
Fighting back tears, she added that the end of a person's life 'is a very special time'.
