He was left reeling after discovering his mistress Vicky Jefferies was pregnant with his baby.
And things are set to get worse for Coronation Street's Robert Preston in the coming weeks, as he is attacked by Vicky's ex-husband Jed in violent scenes.
The pair were spotted on location shooting the moment newcomer Jed confronts Robert after breaking into his car, as the Bistro boss juggles his affair with Vicky and a rekindled relationship with Michelle Connor.

In the dramatic scenes, Robert (played by Tristan Gemmill) returns to his car to find the window has been smashed, and frantically searches the ransacked vehicle.
Robert was recently spotted filming scenes which saw him collect a ring from Vicky (Kerri Quinn), though it is unclear whether this is for her or Michelle (Kym Marsh).
As the scheming love rat tries to find his ring, Jed emerges holding out the ring and a nasty fight ensues.
