The director behind a new documentary about the life of Michael Hutchence has revealed how the late INXS rocker's daughter Tiger Lily reacted to the film.
Appearing on the Today show on Monday to promote Mystify: Michael Hutchence, filmmaker Richard Lowenstein confirmed that Tiger had a mixed response to some of the footage.
'Tiger Lily loved it but she did say, "I don't think I ever want to see that again" because it was so emotionally tumultuous,' Lowenstein said.
'She was very instrumental in confirming to the band that she was OK with it,' he continued.
Richard, who previously directed many of INXS' music videos, let Tiger watch an early edit of the documentary during a visit to her apartment in London.
After viewing the film, Tiger contacted the surviving INXS band members to give her blessing for their music to be used in the soundtrack.
