She's set to take to the dance-floor with her fellow celebrities when Strictly Come Dancing fully returns to screens next week.

And ahead of her first routine with professional dancer Johannes Radebe, Catherine Tydlesley reminisced about her own dance as she compared the nerves she felt then to was she feels now.

The former Coronation Street star, 35, opened up on her first dance with husband Tom Pitfield as Mr and Mrs and claims the nerves were 'nothing like I'm feeling now!'

Speaking in a interview with Hello! magazine, the actress told how she and personal trainer Tom, whom she wed three years ago, didn't have a choreographed routine when they took to the floor on their big day.

She explained: 'There were no nerves back then, it was nothing like I'm feeling now. We hadn't choreographed anything and it was more Tom and I just shuffling along in a prolonged hug rather than a full-on dance routine.'

Catherine's nerves about her first official dance comes as it was revealed that she and Johannes will be doing the Viennese Waltz.

And the star, who played Eva Price in the ITV soap, let slip the special way she manages to keep positive and calm ahead of a big moment.

She explained: 'I am a big fan of meditation so before any live performance I go into what Tom calls my 'Cath Bubble'. Because normally I am so bubbly and talkative, everyone says, 'Are you okay?'

'But I am visualising everything going completely to plan, so at the minute I am visualising me and Johannes and those perfect 10s from the judges!'

With this being Johannes' first year with a celebrity partner on the show, Catherine added that she hopes to make her partner 'proud' by doing 'well' in the competition.

However, it seems as though the soap siren's big plan hadn't quite gone to plan as it was reported earlier this week that she had almost 'vomited' over Johannes during rehearsals.
