Victoria Beckham has discussed her fails, being a role model for her children and body image as she launched her new line, Victoria Beckham .

In a new interview with Glamour UK, the critically-acclaimed designer, 45, spoke about embracing the ageing process and promoting positivity as she insisted diving into the world of make-up has helped her feel more 'confident and liberated'.

Posh Spice - who has been to former sportsman David, 44, for 20 years - also detailed the importance of having a 'healthy' influence on her children Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 17, Cruz, 14, and Harper, eight, as she continues to juggle parenthood with her busy work schedule.

The songstress has forged a fruitful stint in the spotlight for over two decades, and as she's dominated both the music and industries, Victoria has insisted 'owning who I am' has played a key role in maintaining her successful career.  

'There’s something really liberating about embracing who I am at 45 years old and owning it, feeling content', she explained. 

The style maven added that creating her new cosmetic line has helped her self-confidence: 'Doing has really helped with that – it’s been very liberating. 

'I want to spread the word that everybody should feel like the best version of themselves. To look after what you have. I want to tell people to own who you are. Yes, we – and I – have wrinkles, and that’s OK!'

The media personality went on to discuss the importance of setting a good example for her children, particularly when it comes to her eating habits.

On body image, the mogul said: 'When you have children, it also puts a lot into perspective. You realise they notice everything. 

'I would never sit down with my kids and skip a meal – they need to see that their mum eats healthily – you need to show little people how to be healthy and happy with who they are.'
