He may not have won Australian Survivor, but Luke Toki still took home the $500,000 prize money thanks to a viral fan campaign.
And in an interview with New Idea on Monday, the 33-year-old's wife, Mary, said the fundraiser couldn't have come at a better for their family.
Following his elimination from the reality show, devastated fans rallied around Luke by starting a GoFundMe page on his behalf.

Within a few days, donations had exceeded $550,000, and Luke and Mary made the decision to shut down the page, which had an original goal of half a million dollars.
Mary said that her husband, a two-time Survivor star, had only returned to the jungle to raise some much-needed money for his young family.
