It seems the Grinch didn't steal Christmas - did.

Fans of the seasonal film took to social media to complain when they discovered the streaming service had pulled it on Sunday, December 1.

Starring Jim Carrey, 57,  as the green meanie himself and 26-year-old Taylor Momsen, who was only six when she played Cindy Lou Who, it has been a firm favorite since its release in 2000.

And folks were not slow to voice their displeasure.

One woman tweeted: 'Imagine channeling your inner Scrooge and ruining Christmas by taking the Grinch off your platform... Thanks @NetflixUK kids crying.'

Another user asked: 'How is it that I pay for FIVE different streaming services and not one of them has the Grinch available in December???'
