Wolfgang Van Halen defended Billie Eilish on Monday after she was shamed for being unable to name a member of the legendary rock group Van Halen.
The 28-year-old Van Halen bassist took to Twitter to support the 17-year-old singer.

He added: 'Music is supposed to bring us together, not divide us. Listen to what you want and don't shame others for not knowing what you like.'
Billie last month appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and discussed coping with fame at age 17.
Jimmy, 52, noted that he was age 17 during perhaps the 'greatest year in American history' of 1984 and gave her a retro quiz highlighting their age difference.
He asked her to 'name a Van Halen' and Billie answered, 'Who?'.
Teen singer: Billie, 17, shown last month in Los Angeles, revealed she didn't know about Van Halen while recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live
Not divide: Wolfgang urged his followers to check out Billie's music and reminded people to not 'shame others for not knowing what you like'
She also admitted during the same interview that she didn't know Huey Lewis and when asked to fill in the blank, 'Run-D-M' replied, 'What? What is that?' before Jimmy explained the reference to the famous 1980s hip hop group Run-DMC.
She also wondered if a Cabbage Patch Kid was a candy.
Jimmy also asked Billie, 'What did Mr T pity?'.
