Piers Morgan was left stunned when Lorraine Kelly made a playful jab at his weight loss on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain.
The broadcaster, 54, couldn't believe his ears as the TV presenter, 60, joked that he had been 'quite fat' before, but wasn't 'anymore'.
Speaking to Piers and his co-host Susanna Reid to discuss what was coming up on her show next, Lorraine decided to make the quip after he claimed that calling someone fat or obese would motivate them to lose weight.

After his remarks, she joked: 'You've been very naughty today. You're not as fat as you used to be though remember you were quite fat you're not anymore.
But Piers was not amused as he called it a 'backhanded compliment', while Susanna said that the pair were 'very close' so viewers would know Lorraine didn't intend her remark to be mean-spirited.
Piere then said: 'I would never have characterised myself as obese right.'
To which Lorraine said in jest: 'No, but you were chubby.'
