Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern hit stylish note at NY Film Critics Circle ...

It's not as glitzy a show as the Golden Globes that brought out the A-list in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

But nevertheless, the New York Film Critics Circle did welcome a string of stars that it planned to honor at its annual awards gala in New York City Tuesday and since the organization revealed its list of winners last month, it made for a relaxed evening.

Laura Dern and Reese Witherspoon brought glamour to the event held at TAO Downtown where other attendees included Quentin Tarantino, Brad Pitt, Martin Scorsese, Joe Pesci, Adam Sandler and Lupita Nyong'o.

Dern, 52, who won a supporting actress Golden Globe for Marriage Story was honored in the same category by the NYFCC who recognized her work both in the Noah Baumbach film as well as Little Women.

She opted for a black ensemble of low-cut blouse and tailored trousers along with a long overcoat and silver scarf.

She let her long blonde hair loose and accessorized with a pendant necklace along with emerald earrings and an emerald bracelet.

She posed for photos with Witherspoon, her co-star in HBO's Big Little Lies and the movie Wild and who was no doubt set to present her with her award.

Witherspoon, 43, opted for a striking monochrome dress that featured white floral motifs on a black background.

She stepped out in cream heels with black ankle straps and wore silver hoop earrings.
