He's playing his final Australian tour date at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Saturday night.

And hours before the big show, Billy Idol appeared in high spirits as he stopped to take selfies with fans at Sydney Airport.

The 64-year-old White singer oozed rock and roll as he stormed through arrivals, wearing a wildly patterned orange and red T-shirt with a formal blazer draped across the top.

He teamed his edgy look with a pair of black ripped jeans, while accessorising with a trademark earring and pendant.

Waiting fans appeared elated to meet the punk rock icon, who seemed more than happy to smile for pictures.

Only two days prior, Billy had appeared on the Today show to speak to Karl Stefanovic about his trip Down Under - and his first Australian tour in five years.
