Jarrod went on to explain: 'This morning we woke to no longer having our beloved Tristan as he had passed away throughout the night.'
'Tristan was more than an alpaca to me, he was my furry friend, he would openly give me cuddles when I was down,' he went on.
Jarrod praised Tristan for 'listening to his problems without judging', and for helping him guide other alpacas to safety.
