Lynne McGranger has laughed off a death hoax after it was claimed she succumbed to coronavirus.
A Twitter user claimed the 67-year-old Home and Away veteran had died on Thursday, writing: '@HomeandAwayTV sad news. It's just been announced Lynne McGranger has sadly passed away after a short battle with COVID-19.'
A clearly stunned Lynne responded to the tweet on Friday, addressing the commenter directly. She admitted the news of her demise had taken her by surprise.

'Here's the thing Joseph. You can imagine my alarm when I read this. Actually spat my coffee out!' she wrote.
