Robert Pattinson will be making his debut as the Caped Crusader when The hits the big screen in 2022.

And a stunt double dressed in costume could be seen looking out over the city of Liverpool as he filmed scenes for the upcoming blockbuster on top of The Royal Liver Building on Thursday.

The performer was strapped into a harness which was attached to a crane above him as he leaned over the building and looked out onto the city below.

Before donning the outfit, the double was dressed in a dark padded suit with matching gloves and a vest while his eyes were painted black.

The actor leaned over the building while lots of film equipment could be seen behind him and a helicopter with a film crew flew by.

The double appeared to be alone on the platform after the production recently resumed filming following a set shutdown last month when leading star Robert, 34, tested positive for COVID-19.

The Royal Liver Building is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Liverpool and, along with the Cunard Building and Port of Liverpool Building, is one of the city's Three Graces which line the waterfront.
